THINGS WE DO HERE
WILDFLOWER SEEDS
Come summertime, our meadows are full of flowers, and then their seeds. We gather some to spread around - on our plot, and to others. This year we’ll have little packets of seeds to give away at Another Love Story
Seed Packet Contents
These seed packets contain only organically grown native irish seeds from Killyon Manor. Particularly suited to the Midlands. Ox-eye Daisies, Common Knapweed, Red Clover, Self Heal, Ribwort Plantain, Meadow Buttercup, Yarrow, Yellow Vetchling, Hog weed, Garlic Mustard, and Yellow Rattle, the “meadow maker”.
Sowing Instructions
Get these sown by end September. Some seed, especially Yellow Rattle, does not last. For best results, sow outside directly onto bare earth and sprinkle with a little soil and water. If it is unusually dry weather, keep the soil moist for week or two. These are native plants, they don’t need special care, only Ireland’s weather. They will appear in the spring.
